Nate Hope | Community Coordinator and Treasurer

Nate Hope is a lifelong resident of Windsor-Essex, growing up on the outskirts of Essex before moving to Windsor to work with the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative. With a passion for municipal policy and neighbourhood empowerment, Nate loves his community and is driven to improve the lives of those around him. In 2019, Nate worked with others to organize advocacy to improve consultation around the More than Transit Master Plan. He currently serves as a member of the Transit Windsor Advisory Committee.
Katie Stokes | Social Media Manager

Katie is a downtown resident and business owner who has been taking public transit in Windsor-Essex for 20 years. Katie specializes in Social Media Marketing and lends her skills to the team at Activate Transit Windsor-Essex to help advocate, share information and build community online.
Josh Sankarlal | Advocacy and Campaign Director and Chair

Josh is a graduate of Ontario Tech’s Game Development Program and the former President/CEO of the Ontario Tech Student Union. His journey toward public transit and public policy began with a commitment to enhancing transit services in the Durham Region for post-secondary students. Josh champions the belief that car ownership should never be a barrier to full participation in society. Beyond his day job as a consultant for Student Associations, he is dedicated to improving the community by leveraging his skills in advocacy and policy to advance ATWE’s vision of a more equitable and accessible Windsor.
Olivia Holt | Member Engagement Coordinator

Olivia Holt is a server and bartender who has been working in the city core for 7 years. A lifelong enthusiastic Windsorite, she has been involved in local politics and advocacy since childhood, canvassing and volunteering for a number of campaigns over the years. She now serves as Vice Chair on the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association, and moderates the Windsor Ontario subreddit, helping to make political and cultural leaders more accessible to the public. She is excited to bring her enthusiasm to ATWE!
Gabriel Ciavaglia | Technical Coordinator and Secretary

Gabriel is a software developer who is enthusiastic about urban planning and finding strategies to continually improve the City of Windsor and help it achieve the potential that he strongly believes it has. He discovered this passion after researching strategies to improve his city in the game, Cities: Skylines. Since then, he has become more involved in municipal politics and has written a proposal to city council advocating for bus lanes between the University of Windsor and downtown. He is excited to bring this passion to Activate Transit Windsor Essex to help drive positive change in the community.
Raymond Hoang | Research Analyst

Raymond started to work towards improving transit so that he could wake up 10 minutes later for an 8:30am class. Ever since then, he had kept going lobbying for better transit, so that others too can wake up 10 minutes later for work. He now does software development, and spend his free time working towards making transit better through data.
Christine Fitzpatrick | Director-at-Large

Born and raised in Windsor, Christine spent many years working in a variety of animal care work, including managing and teaching at equestrian stables across Southwestern Ontario, and working with area wildlife rehabilitators. She is passionate about advocating for mental health care access, affordable housing and environmental issues including public transit access, campaigning for strong leadership at all levels of government.
